Move of production site

Client:

Van der Kroon Food Products | Bergen op Zoom

Project objective:

Van der Kroon Food Products is a family business which specialised in processing a variety of fresh vegetables into pickles since 1932. They started out in Amsterdam-South, but the company moved to Dinteloord many years ago, where it had been located since. This site had reached its limits and Van der Kroon had to look for a new location to allow for further growth. This building, which has been used for processing food products for years, was found at the Van Konijnenburgeweg in Bergen op Zoom.

Role of Synergo:

Project management, engineering and implementation support for all required activities for the move from Dinteloord to Bergen op Zoom. Together with Van der Kroon the best possible routing through the plant was sought. A 3D design was made of the new plant and then all required utilities were designed. After a selection, tender and price negotiations the right contractors and suppliers were set to work. The biggest challenge of the project was meeting the sharp deadline, caused by the seasonal character of the company. Harvested products must be processed straight away. Synergo also took care of all licensing processes and completed the architectural expansion.
